Challenge

With the gradual increase and rise of e-commerce websites in the country the company needed constant monitoring of the internet to identify and take down counterfeit and/or unauthorised products.

Solution

  • Metarion devised an online brand protection strategy including brand monitoring, management and enforcement in order to ensure a comprehensive protection of the brands of the company. To this effect, Metarion structured, maintained and managed a trademark and domain name portfolio for the entire list of brands of the company and tied up with leading e-commerce websites for a better response time and immediate removal of counterfeit or unauthorised products.
  • At present, Metarion monitors each and every major e-commerce websites for counterfeit or unauthorised products and acts immediately and aggressively for the removal of such listings either by contacting the concerned website or by serving Cease and Desist Letters, and in exceptional cases – moving the court for trademark infringement, on behalf of the company.
